BMS Project Engineer – South West or London area
This full-time role of Project Engineer is a dynamic and varied position, which is incredibly important to ensure that our clients’ building management systems are well-designed and meet their needs. A rewarding position that allows the role-holder to work with new and existing clients to understand their needs and the needs of their stakeholders. The role-holder will design, develop and implement technically advanced, effective, and optimised solutions for client Building Management Systems.
This all-encompassing engineering role covers the full project cycle culminating in a fully designed, assured and functional BMS solution. The role-holder will deliver fully compliant BMS overseeing and managing the engineering process from initial specification through design, build, install and commissioning to handover. The role extends to presales support in evaluating and surveying new opportunities.
This is a hybrid role, working from home and travelling to site, supporting clients throughout the UK. If you are based in the South West or London area, get in touch today.
Overview of Role
Design, specify, document and commission automated building management systems (BMS):
- Initial system design, specification and costing to produce proposals and tender response packages
- Creating Description of Operation, Cause and Effect tables, Point Lists and equipment schedules
- Designing Networks and producing Schematics
- Verifying and signing off panel designs prior to panel production
- Producing control software
- Create and manage all assurance documentation including FAT, SAT and Operation and Maintenance packages
- Setting up networks, installing and commissioning software
- Commissioning BMS systems from field devices to system operation and system interfaces
- Providing ongoing support and training to onsite technicians
