Since Drew Dorling founded the company in 2010, Kernow Controls has grown based on the simple principles of being the best in our field and delivering what we promise.
Drew began his career as an apprentice with controls giant Honeywell in the 1990s. After a successful 15 years designing control systems for some of the UK’s most complex engineering projects, he branched out to start his own company, Kernow Controls, with his first project as Design Lead for the BMS at Heathrow Terminal 2A – a £10million+ project that extended to incorporate the complex control of a 50MW Cooling Station.
Kernow Controls has since forged a reputation as one of the UK’s leading control system engineering companies, working on a range of contracts from large residential and small commercial projects through to complex projects incorporating high resilience systems for large infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and Heathrow Terminal 2A. Drew continues to play a pivotal role as technical consultant for Kernow Controls, and provide technical support for our engineering team, ensuring high standards of engineering expertise is embedded within the business.
