“Poor control of heating, ventilation, cooling and lighting is responsible for excessive energy consumption in most buildings. Having better control over working areas helps to produce a consistently comfortable environment for building occupants” www.carbontrust.com
Saving energy and reducing bills requires more than just a change of attitude. Kernow Controls offer turnkey solutions to the problem of wasted energy and will be there through the whole process of planning and design, software and hardware engineering, installation and comprehensive technical support. To achieve energy savings in your building, every system within it must work in harmony as a cohesive unit. By linking independent systems together, building automation leads directly to better performance and more intelligent energy use.
Businesses by nature tend to occupy larger structures containing more people, and the building’s processes therefore prove more difficult to manage. Intelligent energy efficiency, a central local or remote point of control and full automation options take user error out of the equation and keep all systems operating at maximum efficiency using the minimum necessary energy.
“It is estimated that up to 90% of heating, ventilation and air conditioning building control systems are inadequate in some way, costing industry and commerce over £500 million per year in additional energy costs.”
We can design, install and service building management systems to any technical specification, as simple or as complex as required, or integrate most existing 3rd party BMS to work with our controllers.
A password protected, user-friendly and intuitive graphical interface,
accessed via the local network or internet, gives a real time view of
processes and gives you the option to change settings or identify problems in an instant.
For example, we could give top level access to a buildings manager enabling them to view and change settings on as many aspects of the system as is required (i.e. setpoints on temperature sensors, flow temperature of a boiler output, temperature of a swimming pool etc.) and maybe lower level access to other staff, limiting the power to alter settings if necessary.
